Ode to Autumn
Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness.
That's how Keats described it. And although we've had more sunshine than mists this autumn, it has certainly brought a calm mellowness with it.
It's our time to start battening down the hatches and prepare for winter. We slow down. Eat heartier food. Switch the fire on. Add hot water bottles to our nightly routine. Wear cosier pyjamas.
We are blessed in Chiswick by having some wonderful free places to enjoy autumn from. The river, where banks of ivy turn from green to red; Chiswick House where we can wander for hours gathering armfuls of cookers and climbing trees.
Our lovely home where we can settle down to autumnal domestic pleasures: crochet (I'm a humble beginner), lego, reading…
How do you celebrate Autumn?
